Microturbines as a strong partner for power supply

Greenvironment is a reliable partner for local authorities and municipal works. Together with you, we develop and operate local, decentralised energy projects. Apart from natural gas, biogas from local resources such as biomass, waste and residual materials can also be used.

Energy-efficient heat and electricity are produced with the help of decentralised power station solutions. Not only do you supply your customers, you also make an active contribution to climate protection.

Within this scope, Greenvironment has already formed successful local power companies with two municipal works:

In the Thuringian town of Schmalkalden, Dezentrale Energien Schmalkalden GmbH (DES) has been supplying 1,300 residential units, the technical college and parts of the town centre with base load heat and electricity since March 2010. Only of the four plants is run with renewable bio-natural gas. The joint undertaking of Schmalkalden municipal works and Greenvironment has invested a total of 1.2 million € in the four plants and therefore makes an important contribution to the regional added value.     

The Dezentrale Energien Leipzig GmbH (DEL) is pursuing a similar concept and financed, built and operates decentralized CHP plants in combination with boilers in the Leipzig region. The partner are:

• Megaron, the group on the on-site with 200 employees in the Leipzig area, including 30 in Thermal Engineering
• the Greenvironment GmbH on the energy side with years of experience in the field of decentralized energy production plants
• Mr. Wolfgang Wille, who has worked 35 years in the energy sector and it worked 19 years as managing director of Stadtwerke Leipzig (since 2007 he has worked as a counselor is).
