CHP plants with microturbines for farmers

Especially in agriculture, substantial potential can be tapped for power generation from biomass or residual agricultural materials. The generation of electricity and heat from biogas offers an interesting additional source of income for farmers. We offer individual and flexible solutions for your special wishes and needs – from component supply through to turnkey containerised CHP plants.
Compact small power stations
Microturbines are compact and robustly built and are therefore ideally suited for use in agriculture. As, essentially, only rotating parts are used and air bearings are installed instead of oil-lubricated plain bearings, they are also characterised by low wear and low maintenance costs. They are especially suitable for use with biogas, as they set low requirements for the gas quality and can also easily cope with low methane contents and high sulphur fractions.
Microturbines are particularly economical when used for maximum energy utilisation, i.e. when the waste heat of the process is also used.
Examples of this are:
- Applications in which high temperatures are required, such as the treatment of biogas as well as
- Numerous coupling options, e.g. with the heating, equipment for steam generation or absorption refrigeration machines.
Microturbines convince through:
- Insensitivity to contaminants in biogas, such as sulphur (compounds)
- High reliability
- Low maintenance costs
- High overall efficiency when used for drying and industrial hot water
- Cost-effective plant operation due to longer running times
