Matti Jaakola was elected to the board as an independent Non-Executive Director in September 2011. He has extensive experience from top management positions in international corporations operating in process industries, such as forest and chemical industries, which are major users of different types of energy.

He has gained experience of investments into different energy sources and distribution models. As a professional Non-Executive Director, Matti Jaakola is able to support Greenvironment with the further development of good Corporate Governance, management systems and leadership culture.

Matti Jaakola has a Master’s degree from the Helsinki School of Economics in Finland and has participated in several international trainings programs.

He was born in 1959 in Finland, and speaks fluently Finnish, English, and Swedish and also some German and French.
